Campaigning consultancy Sustainable Homes has last week launched the SHIFT Awards, celebrating 10 years of the prestigious sustainability awards.
The SHIFT Awards are the only awards dedicated to sustainability in housing and the supply chain. Over the last 10 years they have grown from an accreditation ceremony celebrating sustainability performance and SHIFT accredited landlords to a well-established sector-wide event.
The awards shine a light on remarkable projects, organisations and individuals in the housing sector and its supply chain that have demonstrated exceptional performance and have a focus on client needs at the core of their organisation.
2017’s response was outstanding. The finalists represented the very best in the sector, from successful partnership projects (LEAP project, winner Best Resident Engagement in Sustainable Living) to a cutting edge green roofs programme (The Behaviouralist, winner Best Climate Resilience Project) and Europe’s largest Passivhaus scheme (emh Group, winner Best New Build Project).
Bevan Jones, Sustainable Homes’ Managing Director said,
“It’s exciting to see how far the SHIFT Awards have come and that there is still willingness to outperform in terms of sustainability and deliver high quality homes that are future-proof and have resident wellbeing at heart.”
“We feel the pace is changing in the sector and I can’t wait to see this year’s entries and finalists. It’s going to be a tremendous event!”
Across 8 different categories the SHIFT Awards recognise the achievements of individuals, teams, projects and campaigns. This year will also see the return of the popular Dragons’ Den category, giving shortlisted entrants the chance to pitch creative sustainability ideas to the Awards audience.
The SHIFT Awards will take place on 8th November at the stunning The Brewery in London.
