Sustainable Homes is delighted to announce the appointment of Bevan Jones as new Managing Director.
Currently as the Group Sustainability Manager at Catalyst Housing Association, Bevan will take over from Andrew Eagles – who has led the organisation for 9 years and positioned SHIFT as the sustainability standard for the housing sector.
Bevan’s leadership and sustainability expertise are clear-cut for the current challenging environment for social landlords. Sustainable Homes will continue to outline the opportunities and benefits for improving sustainability in organisations and reducing fuel poverty.

At Catalyst, Bevan was able to embed sustainability throughout its business and homes. The housing association is now one of the most sustainable landlords in the country. Additionally, Bevan created the Sustainability and Fuel Poverty Fund from income of the Feed in Tariff to help residents struggling to pay their bills, designed resident engagement programmes and contributed to national research studies with the Zero Carbon Hub and Sustainable Homes.
At the start of his career, Bevan worked for the Royal Borough of Greenwich and then the London Boroughs of Newham and Islington where he was responsible of the design and implementation of climate change adaptation, sustainable transport, and waste and recycling strategies. He has additionally significant consultancy experience, including projects for DEFRA and the first UK Climate Change Risk Assessment.
Bevan Jones the new Managing Director said:
“I am delighted to have been appointed to the role of Managing Director and really looking forward to getting to know the team, clients and partners. It’s an exciting time to be joining Sustainable Homes amid the challenges and opportunities for both sustainability and the housing sector.
Sustainable Homes is a fantastic organisation with real integrity and a reputation for making an impact. I hope that I can build on Andrew’s achievements and help Sustainable Homes to be even more successful.

With quality research; innovative services like SHIFT, CROHM and e-learning; and our events, SHIFT awards and consultancy Sustainable Homes will continue to help lead the change in the housing sector. I can’t wait to start”
