New resources to lower fuel poverty and enhance understanding on sustainability

January 12, 2015

webinar on reducing fuel povertyWe have received significant interest from housing providers to provide a service to enable staff to achieve a sustainable lower fuel poverty future. In response to this, we are pleased to announce our brand new elearning platform: Sustainable Homes Academy

Fuel poverty impacts 2.3m households. The Climate Change Act 2010 calls for significant reductions in carbon from both business premises and homes. Practical solutions are needed to help staff stay up to date with policy and potential solutions.

Elearning is tool that some are using to ensure staff have accessible interactive learning. It can help staff gain tools understand, inform and empower the rest of your team, residents and wider community.

There are also some other benefits:

  • Flexible learning, at your own pace, in your own your time
  • Training provided across your team regardless of location
  • Zero travel and accommodation costs
  • Enhances understanding of fuel poverty and sustainability across your whole organisation
  • Modules are CPD accredited

We have worked with our specialist elearning designers to transform 15 years of experience of delivering training on sustainability and fuel poverty into interactive and engaging modules. Courses covered include:

Introduction to fuel poverty, reducing fuel poverty, how to make your office greener and climate change and the housing sector and many more…

“I found the fuel poverty elearning course of real use.  The information around ‘SAP’ was great – it explains clearly and simply how the energy efficiency of a home is measured…I would very much encourage others to take the course.”- Farzana Sarwar, Financial Inclusion Co-ordinator

We look forward to seeing you there!
