The Government introduced their ‘Green Deal’ initiative in January 2013. The Green Deal enables home owners to install energy efficiency products to their property up to the value of approximately £10,000 at no upfront cost. A Green Deal Advisor will assess a property to ensure it can benefit from the Green Deal Scheme and to identify which improvement measures are appropriate. No property can benefit from the Green Deal without an assessment from a Green Deal Advisor.
This course will enable you to be qualified to carry out those assessments. Those attending the course and passing the portfolio will be qualified to provide Green Deal assessments as set out by the Energy Act 2011
Our fast-track course (five days face-to-face expert tuition with experienced assessors) includes supported learning and support during the development of practice surveys.
If you are a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor you only need to attend the last two days of this course.
Attendees will gain a Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Green Deal Advice. The qualification is accredited to both the UKAS and National Occupational Standards. The Green Deal Advisor (GDA) course includes the DEA qualification, with a provision of a portfolio of work.
By becoming a Green Deal Advisor you will have the benefit of:
The GDA section of the course includes the following:
Throughout this time the following additional expert support is available to help your staff qualify:
1The distance learning modules are not required for those with relevant prior experience, for example an insulation installer would not need to do the modules on insulation.
Want to train six or more people? You could save with an in house course. From £890 per person for DEA or GDA training (ex expenses).
