Existing Dwellings Energy Assessor (DEA) training view dates

The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive requires all buildings to have an EPC from October 2008. Each year 2.2 million homes are sold, including 200,000 newly constructed dwellings, all of which require an EPC. Anyone, including RSLs, selling or letting a house or flat will need an EPC for each dwelling.

All existing dwellings will require Domestic Energy Assessors, to be trained to undertake the onsite requirements as well as the design based assessment techniques. The cost of an EPC certification for a house is approximately £75-100. If your organisation has stock of 500 units that could cost you as much as £50,000.
