Government offers £10M in new funding for energy efficiency– but you’ve got to be quick!

  
  
  

Local Energy Assessment Fund (LEAF) is designed to support community action on energy efficiency and renewable energy. At a glance:

Which projects qualify? Building energy surveys; surveys on the potential for energy savinghome energy audit in homes; demonstration projects; resident energy-saving workshops and public engagement events; renewable energy studies and events.

Who can apply? Registered Social Landlords, Local Authorities, Development Trusts, Parish Councils and other community groups

What’s the grant amount?  Average grant is expected to be £50,000, with a maximum of £130,000 for any one grant.

What’s the application deadline? Applicants can apply for either phase.

Phase 1 – Dec 22nd, 2011

Phase 2 – Jan 20th,  2012

What’s the project deadline?

All projects must be completed by March 31st, 2012.
